Total investment of 2.3 billion yuan! BOE Huacan Optoelectronics Micro LED production line officially delivered

On March 19, BOE Huacan Optoelectronics held a product delivery ceremony for its Micro-LED factory, and fully demonstrated the latest Micro LED solutions, ecological construction and production capacity strategic layout. This product delivery symbolizes that Huacan Optoelectronics has completed a key milestone in the development, trial production, stable production and commercialization of Micro LED chips.
The COW/COC new product 1530@6inch and MPD new products 0303 & 0202 were released on site, and the relevant process flow was demonstrated on site. It also displayed a variety of Micro LED application products in the fields of large-screen display, car display, wearable devices, AR glasses, etc., including 162-inch Micro display, Micro LED 0.12-inch display, ultra-bright glass-based Micro LED HUD, 0.12-inch Micro LED display, etc.
Among them, the COW/COC new product 1530@6inch uses a 6-inch wafer size, and the chip size is 15±1.5μm x 30±1.5μm, achieving a high yield of 99.99%, high light efficiency with diversity and brightness improvement, and good epitaxial uniformity.
MPD (Micro Pixel Device) is the industry's MIP (Micro LED in Package) packaging technology. This packaging process uses mass transfer technology to transfer Micro LED chips to a carrier for packaging, cuts them into small packages, splits and mixes the small packages, and then performs the patch process. MPD can significantly reduce the manufacturing cost of micro-pitch LED displays and increase production. The new 0303 device size is 300 x 300μm, and the pad size is 75 x 85μm; the new MPD 0202 device size is 220 x225μm, and the pad size is 60 x 58μm; both new MPD products have a three-in-one structure to achieve efficient die bonding, large pads, a die bonding pass rate of >80%, 6 times the pad area, 7 times the thrust strength, and high welding strength. MPD is a new generation of display technology platform that can achieve ultra-high black area ratio, optimal white balance viewing angle, and a 2/3 increase in die bonding efficiency, and can be applied to micro-pitch scenes. The 162-inch Micro display screen on display has a resolution of 3840*2160, a chip size of 60*80μm, a brightness of 800nits, a contrast ratio of 100000:1, and uses mass transfer + RDL technology. It is mainly used in P1.2-0.6, and the ultimate specification can be lowered to 0.4-0.3.

The single screen size is 3.8 inches, the brightness is 150000nits, the contrast ratio is 3 million:1, and the pixel density is 431. It has the advantages of ultra-high brightness, ultra-high contrast, and ultra-high pixel density.
