6,459 people resigned from Samsung panel maker

As of December last year, the number of Samsung Electronics National Pension members was 125,593, an increase of 4,716 from 128,777 the previous year. In terms of employment growth rate, it increased by 3.9%.
From January to December last year, Samsung Electronics hired a total of 19,600 new employees. This number is less than 12,957 in 2022, but more than 9,125 in 2023.
The number of resignations has been gradually increasing over the past three years. The number of people leaving Samsung Electronics has steadily increased by about 100 people each year, from 6,189 in 2022 to 6,359 in 2023 and 6,459 in 2024.
It has been confirmed that the month with the most new employees joining the National Pension is March. 2,415 new employees were hired in March last year alone, accounting for 22% of all new employees hired.
Unlike the month when new employees join, the month with the most resignations at Samsung Electronics is December. December is usually the month of performance bonuses, and not many people leave the company, but last December, 884 people left Samsung Electronics. This accounts for about 13.7% of all resignations last year. This number is significantly larger than the 448 people who left in December 2022 and the 670 people who left in December 2023.
