Tatsunami led the development of national standards approved for the project

    Recently, the national standard of “LED Display Part 3-1: Test Methods for Optical and Photoelectric Parameters of Micro Light Emitting Diode Display Devices” led by Chengdu Chenxian Optoelectronics Co. This is the first batch of national standards for key technical performance test methods in the field of Micro-LED in China.

    Since its establishment, Tatsunami has always been committed to the independent research and development and industrialization of TFT-based Micro-LED display technology. In order to evaluate the picture quality of Micro-LED display, Tatsunami led the “LED Display Part 3-1: Micro Light Emitting Diode Display Optical and Photoelectric Parameter Test Methods”, a national standard approved for the project, which can test the reverse leakage current, long-range brightness uniformity, long-range chromaticity uniformity, short-range brightness uniformity, LED photoelectric efficiency, and other parameters of the Micro-LED array device. The standard tests a number of parameters such as reverse leakage current, long-range luminance uniformity, short-range luminance uniformity, LED photoelectric efficiency, etc., which can provide a more comprehensive characterization of Micro-LED device arrays and displays, and nicely complements the picture quality evaluation method of Micro-LED displays.

    The establishment of this national standard will promote the development of Micro-LED industry from multiple levels:

    Industry standardization:

    The release of the standard provides a unified and authoritative normative basis for enterprise technology research and development, enabling the R&D team to accurately focus on the core technical indicators and key performance parameters, reducing trial and error costs and improving R&D efficiency.     The establishment of the standardization system effectively eliminates the communication barriers caused by differences in technical knowledge and inconsistent specifications in the upstream and downstream of the industry chain. Chip manufacturers, packaging companies, display module manufacturers and other links in the main body to achieve efficient collaboration under the guidance of a unified standard, from the standardized supply of raw materials to ensure the consistency of the chip quality, to the production process optimization to enhance the yield of the product, to the end product performance and specifications of the unity of the formation of the whole process, systematic synergistic effect.
