HKC and E Ink will plan to build a large-size e-paper production line in Guizhou
Recently, HKC and E Ink Technology officially signed a joint development agreement. This cooperation will deeply integrate HKC's full industry chain advantages in the display field with E Ink Technology's cutting-edge e-paper technology, focusing on breaking through the bottleneck of large-size e-paper R&D and mass production. This cooperation aims to promote the large-scale application of e-paper technology in retail signage, industrial Internet of Things, smart cities and other scenarios, and inject new momentum into the sustainable development of the industry through intelligent and green display solutions.
At present, HKC's e-paper display products cover multiple sizes from 2.13 inches to 31.5 inches, with full-color display technology reserves and mature TFT backplane module manufacturing capabilities. The products have been widely used in retail electronic price tags, medical ward information boards, smart manufacturing display modules, logistics warehousing billboards and other fields. At the same time, it accelerates the layout of 55-inch, 75-inch and other sizes of e-paper advertising screens, bus stops and other scenarios, promoting the low-carbon environmental protection and intelligent display application value of e-paper in the era of the Internet of Things.
In order to further deepen the field of e-paper, HKC will set up an e-paper production base in Guizhou, plan to build a large-size e-paper production line, build a complete industrial chain from research and development to manufacturing, reduce the cost of large-size products through large-scale production, strengthen HKC's technological autonomy in this field, and provide production capacity guarantee for the subsequent large-scale application of commercial display.
