According to Shangguan News, the Seventh "Jinshuihu" Forum and the 2024 Global AMOLED (Advanced Display) Ecosystem Chain Conference were held in Shanghai Bay High-tech Industrial Zone on October 25.

Industry experts pointed out at the conference that this year marks a turnaround for the display industry. Financial reports from major display panel factories in the first half of the year show a general increase in overall revenue. In terms of market share, China's display industry is globally leading in both LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) technologies.

"China's LCD panel production capacity reached 330 million square meters in 2023, accounting for 91% of global LCD production capacity, and now dominates the LCD industry. China's OLED panel production capacity has gradually gained momentum, reaching 17.05 million square meters in 2023, which accounts for 46% of global OLED production capacity," noted Ouyang Zhongcan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in his keynote speech. He pointed out that AMOLED technology is welcoming new opportunities for development. In the future, China's display industry is willing to work with global peers to explore topics such as striving to create a healthy and fair competitive environment, maintaining high-quality and efficient cooperation mechanisms, and promoting disruptive application innovations.
